Drivetrain
A common misconception is that an LS swap Porsche project can keep any factory automatic and simply “re-flash” around the new engine. At CPE, the Porsche LS conversion path we engineer around retains the car’s original manual transaxle. Tiptronic and PDK are not supported for the LS conversion as described in our FAQ.
If you have an automatic car, the route we use is converting to a manual transmission first—see Porsche manual conversions—then layering the LS engine conversion and swap parts on a coherent manual driveline plan.
Adapters, clutch systems, and flywheel packages are not abstract add-ons—they are tied to the gearbox you will actually run. Lock the transmission plan before you buy torque-transfer hardware. Questions? Contact CPE.
